Addison County is the home of a total of 8 covered bridges. Of this number, there are 4 historic bridges and 4 non-traditional bridges.
Two of the historic bridges still carry traffic. The Pulp Mill is a "Double-Barrel" bridge. The historic bridges that do not carry traffic include the East Shoreham Railroad Covered Bridge and the privately owned Spade Farm Covered Bridge.
All of the historic covered bridges have been rebuilt, with the exception of the Spade Farm bridge.
Some of the non-traditional bridges are difficult to find. Some are private. And then again, some appear to be historic covered bridges.
Select the map below and check the details for each bridge for complete information and locations.

For the convenience of our Bridge-Watchers, here are the Bridge-Watch checklists in two formats. As you perform the bridge inspections, you can use either an online form or a printed form. The online form will be submitted automatically, while the printed form must be mailed in. Either option is acceptable
