Chittenden County is the home of a total of 9 covered bridges. Of this number, 5 are historic bridges and 4 are non-traditional bridges.
All of the historic bridges carry traffic except for the Browns River and Museum bridges.
Some of the non-traditional bridges are difficult to find. Some are private.
The Museum and Circus bridges are located within the Shelburne Museum in Shelburne.
Select the map below and check the details for each bridge for complete information and locations.

For the convenience of our Bridge-Watchers, here are the Bridge-Watch checklists in two formats. As you perform the bridge inspections, you can use either an online form or a printed form. The online form will be submitted automatically, while the printed form must be mailed in. Either option is acceptable
