The Larkin Bridge stands over a ford in the First Branch. Notice that because the bridge does not cross the stream squarely, the trusses are skewed. The Larkin bridge is one of a small number of covered bridges that were built in the early 20th century.
The Covered Spans of Yesteryear website notes the some work was done to the roof in 2002.
Our thanks to the Town of Tunbridge for allowing the posting of the Vermont Covered Bridge Society Welcome patch. For more information about the Tunbridge area visit their website at http://tunbridgevt.org/.
