Rutland County is the home of a total of 15 covered bridges. Of this number there are 8 historic bridges and 7 non-traditional bridges.

One of the historic bridges, the Brown in Shrewsbury, has been designated as a National Historic Landmark. Another of the historic bridges, the Twin in Rutland Town, is a shell of itself. It serves as a town storage facility.

Three of the historic bridges have gone through major restorations while another is in stable but unusable condition.

Some of the non-traditional bridges are difficult to find. Some are private. And then again, some appear to be historic covered bridges.

Select the map below and check the details for each bridge for complete information and locations.
