The Hopkins Bridge stands near a bend in the sandy Trout River. The span once served the old road to Berkshire, now abandoned. At 91 feet, it is the longest of the Jewett bridges.
According to the Covered Spans of Yesteryear website the bridge was "unsafe for traffic" and was closed in 1993. The bridge was "bypassed with a temporary bridge" until it was removed in 1999.
