Our Second Annual CBW in Vermont is coming this August 1-8, 2026
On May 10, 2026, Governor Phil Scott signed a proclamation in which he declared the first week in August of 2026 to be Covered Bridge Week in Vermont. The VCBS is happy to present this list of community events throughout the state for the enjoyment of Vermont residents and visitors alike.
Covered Bridge Tour of
Chelsea, Tunbridge, and East Randolph, VT
9:30 AM and 1 PM
Randolph Center, VT (Orange County)
Two 3-hour tours in the comfort of a Sprinter van with VCBS President Beth Brown-Limmer. The morning tour leaves at 9:30 AM and the afternoon tour leaves at 1:00 PM.
Seating is limited to 13 people per tour. Tickets are $45 per person and are available by contacting Beth (melby5584@aol.com).

Covered Bridge Presentation: “In the Beginning…! The Genesis, Evolution, and Influence of Vermont’s Historic Covered Bridge Preservation Plan”

Join us for a presentation by Robert McCullough, UVM Professor of Historic Preservation Emeritus, and JB McCarthy, VT AOT engineer.
This venue is climate-controlled and ADA-accessible.

VCBS members will be manning a booth to distribute information, offer memberships, and sell VCBS merchandise.

10:00 AM, 12:30 PM, and 3:00 PM
Bellows Falls, VT (Windham County)
Three 2-hour tours in the comfort of a Sprinter van with VCBS President Beth Brown-Limmer. The morning tour leaves at 10:00 AM. The afternoon tours leave at 12:30 and 3:00 PM.
The tour route will stop at 4 historic covered bridges. The Grafton Historical Society will greet us at the Kidder Hill Covered Bridge.
Seating is limited to 13 people per tour. Tickets are $30 per person and are available by contacting Beth.
