Village Covered Bridge Contractor Selected

July 17, 2021: Anita Larkin Ford has made us aware that the Village Covered Bridge, in Waitsfield, will be repaired. Lisa Loomis of The Valley Reporter is reporting that "the Waitsfield Select Board accepted the $27,500 bid from Hoyt Construction to repair damage done to the Waitsfield covered bridge on May 28...".

Plans for when the repair work will begin are still being worked out. The bridge was declared safe to use remains open at this time.
