Theodore Burr Covered Bridge Resource Center – New President Elected

The Theodore Burr Covered Bridge Resource Center is pleased to share the terrific news that its board has elected Scott Bomboy as its next President starting January 1, 2027, following Trish Kane’s retirement at the end of December after 15 years of incredible service. We see it as a tremendous opportunity to build on what Trish and Bob Kane started with the Resource Center in Oxford, NY.

Scott has a long and distinguished record as a journalist and recently retired as the Editor-in-Chief of the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia. In recent years he has also become a leader in the covered bridge world, including organizing the multi-million-dollar restoration of the historic South Perkasie historic in Pennsylvania. He brings many skills to the Resource Center, among them organizational management, expertise in grant and other fund raising, and much experience on the technical side of websites.

In the coming months, Scott will be fully integrated into our team as we finish the initial iteration of our website, as well as other activities.

While Trish will be stepping back from the Resource Center board and overall responsibility, we are glad she will continue to be involved in some projects.  We look forward to the continued development of the Resource Center with the crucial support from the covered bridge community.

Our thanks to Noel Rubinton and the Theodore Burr Covered Bridge Resource Center for sharing this news.
